Dr. Shakira Jameson, D.V.M.

Dr. Shakira (pronounced Sah-keeda) Jameson was born in Spain, and raised here in the valley. A 1995 graduate of Cathedral City High School, she is excited to be back. Dr. Jameson did her undergraduate studies a Colorado State University , where she earned her BS degrees in both Animal Science and Agricultural Business. In 2012 she graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at Colorado State University as well. Dr. Jameson comes to us after completing a 1 year internship at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona rotating through internal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine in Mesa, Arizona.

When Dr. Jameson is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, 3 Shih Tzu’s and her Chihuahua. She also enjoys cooking, traveling and shopping.

Dr. Jameson looks forward to meeting you and taking excellent care of your pets and their health.

Yvette Shidler
Veterinary Assistant

Yvette is a true “desert rat”, who was born and raised in the Coachella Valley. She graduated from La Quinta High School in 2001 and has been in the Veterinary field for 13 years. She knew at a young age that she always wanted to work with animals. Because she has such great passion for animals she prides herself on taking care of those who need it most. She is skillful in not only administration services but providing knowledge and compassion to our clients and pets. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Lucas and son Cejay. She enjoys spending summers with her family on their boat on the Colorado River and winters riding dirt bikes in the desert.

Seth Lopez
Veterinary Technician

Seth is from the Coachella valley. He has been in the veterinary field for over 13 years. Seth’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is emergency & critical care, radiology, and CT scans. Seth was a former Technician Supervisor at a 24-hour emergency hospital. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his niece, and nephew. He has a black lab named Sage who has received extensive training as a field trial dog.

Caleb Cruz, R.V.T
Registered Veterinary Technician

Caleb is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been in the veterinary field since 2011 who is originally from the Coachella Valley. She has worked for an emergency & wellness clinic in New Mexico as well as wellness clinics in the Coachella Valley offering unique services in exotics and small animals. She enjoys diagnostics and providing care for hospitalized patients as well as dentistry. She lives in Palm Desert with her husband who plays drums in multiple local bands and 2 Siberian Huskies named after her favorite childhood films; Falkor and Ariel. She also has a bearded dragon named “Little Dude” and a Cichlid Tiger Oscar fish named “Turbo”. On her free time, she enjoys listening to live music, painting as well as traveling.
